President's Message

Welcome to the online home of the Solano Napa Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 1186.  We are the front-line, professional firefighters who proudly serve the communities of American Canyon, Benicia, Cordelia, Fairfield, Rio Vista, Suisun City, and Vallejo 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.    

Our firefighters work every day with the singular mission of keeping the residents, businesses, and visitors of our great communities safe. We encourage you to contact us, share any stories or concerns you may have about local public safety, or simply drop us a message about a recent encounter you may have had with our professional firefighters.

We also encourage you to learn about and participate in our charity, the Solano Napa Firefighter Foundation.  Founded in 2013, our charity was born out of a desire to continue to serve our community after the 911 call is complete.  We work to support our community members in their time of greatest need during and after tragic events, and our charity enables us to support that mission.
